Les mots que je te lis

Ne remplissent pas les vitres embuées

Ou les tableaux à craie

Ni les plages de côte d’Opale

Tu le sais, ces mots là,

Je les veux te toucher

Je les veux transpercer,

Le coeur, qui ne gomme pas.

Je les rêve grands et libres

Détachés de leurs rimes

Invisible et sans voix

C’est là, sens-tu, qu’ils vibrent.

J'espère qu’ils voient en toi

Et qu'ainsi dans nos livres,

Se partage la joie

De s’émouvoir de vivre.

Being moved to live

The words I give to you

Don't fill up misted windows

Or chalkboards

Nor the beaches of the Opal Coast

You know, these words,

I want them to touch you

I want them to pierce,

The heart, which doesn't erase.

I dream them big and free

Detached from their rhymes

Invisible and voiceless

It's there, do you feel, that they vibrate.

I hope them to see you

And thus in our books,

Is shared the joy

Of being moved to live.

Thank you for your interest in my humble poems and photographs. I guess they're just my way to make sense of life.

I'll be sharing my writing in both French and English. My photos will all be taken with Polaroid cameras, latest generations and antique models such as the SX-70.

Hope you enjoy your visit.
